The Divine Unstruck Sound - The Syllable: OM ॐ

The Gospel according to St John: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." Almost all religions refer to the "Word" as the beginning of creation. In physics, vibration is the element from which everything manifests. The entire universe is made of pulsating vibrating energy which is represented by Om.

The unstruck sound, Om or Aum represents the creative power of creation, the Logos, the divine Word. It is the primordial energy that forms and sustains the universe, the unmanifest made manifest. In Hinduism, Aum or Om is a sacred symbol and sound, uttered at the beginning and end of any prayer.

Aum Shanti: Om Peace.
